Overview
The TPK-12.5-PVxxx series is a Type 1+2 / Class I+II DC surge protective device designed specifically for photovoltaic systems operating from 500 VDC to 1500 VDC. Built with heavy-duty high-energy MOV technology, it delivers enhanced lightning impulse current capacity of 12.5 kA (10/350 ฮผs) โ€” making it ideal for utility-scale solar farms, BESS, and installations requiring higher surge withstand capability than standard Type 1+2 devices. Featuring full-mode protection (+/โˆ’/PE), compact DIN-rail pluggable design, and optional remote signaling, this SPD provides robust DC-side protection for solar panels and inverters against lightning-induced overvoltages.
